This Jersey design is inspired by that donned by the Balmain in 1945.
Due to wartime restrictions on textiles, Balmain abandoned their famous black and gold colour in 1943 to wear jerseys of all yellow. Club secretary Harold Matthews joked that the "Tigers" would now be known as the "Canaries".
The black and gold returned in 1944 but for the first time it featured a gold jersey with a single black V. Balmain won three titles in four seasons wearing this jersey (1944, 1946-47) and were finalists in 1945
