This Jersey is inspired by that donned by the Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs in 1945.
In 1943 Canterbury were forced to depart from their usual Blue and White Jerseys due to wartime restrictions on textiles. In 1943 their playing strip was described as " Maroon with white knickers". In 1944 and 1945 the team wore predominantly Maroon jerseys with a Blue V before returning to the club's original Blue and White horizontal bar design in 1946.
